A week ago during Medical Microbiology Lab,
we did an experiment to find out what kinds of bacteria lives up our nostrils.
So this was what we did.
We were given a long cotton bud looking thingy to be shaved up our noses to get a sample of our noses eeky stuff.
What we did next was that we plated our disgusting sample onto a BLOOD AGAR.
And yes, we have to incubate the agar to allow the bacteria, if any, to grow on the blood agar.
And so we waited for a few days to let that process happen.
So anyway, we got back our BLOOD AGAR PLATES this afternoon.
WE WERE HORRIFIED!!!
The fact that there were growth on our agar just freaks all of us out.
Plus, see the clear zones where the bacteria colonies form?
See...That means that those bacteria are able to DESTROY RED BLOOD CELLS YOU KNOW!!!
SCARY.SCARY.
Bye!Enjoy~!
