Interesting...

Your Major and Minor Personality Types
  • Your major personality type = Explorer
  • Your minor personality type = Negotiator

You are an EXPLORER / negotiator

You are a highly spontaneous person who always likes to try new things. Novel and unpredictable situations don't bother you; instead you find them challenging and exciting.

You tend to be focused and resourceful and you are able to juggle a lot of projects at the same time; as a result you are sometimes a whirlwind of activity.

You have a firm grip on reality and enjoy living in the present tense. But you have a keen imagination that enables you to lift off from time and space to be remarkably creative.

You are humorous. You are able to laugh at yourself, and you like entertaining others.

You have a deep sense of compassion. You can show genuine insight into the needs of others; you are good at listening and talking; and you express a genuine desire to be helpful.

Yet you are easy-going. Your tolerance for others and their beliefs, your lack of prejudice, your ability to compromise and your occasional antics make you popular with others and a great companion.

How your personality breaks out
Characteristics of all four personality types can be found within each of us, but there is almost always one personality type that is dominant. We call this the major personality type.

The Personality Profile also identifies your minor or secondary personality type. You exhibit some aspects of this personality type, though not to the same degree as with your major type.

People I Heart

Today was...
Meet-the-people-I love day:))

Anyways, I finally got my resume ready today.
I told myself...THAT'S IT! Enough procrastination
already!!!So bloody hell just sit down and get it done.
And I did! I was so excited when I finished it. Sent it
over to SAFRA cos dad had been asking me about it
since GOD-knows-when, and also sent one to Resort
World just for the fun of it...Who knows...I didn't really
know how to make one but I managed to find my PPP
(Professional Preparation Programme) notes and just
copied the format. I ended up writing a 3 page resume.

Took the CIRCLE LINE to meet X earlier. Didn't know
it was already open till X told me so. :))))))))))))))))))

Tabla HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Since when hugging became weird?! Stop trying to conform
to the ideal hug position...A freaking hug is a freaking hug no
matter what position it is!

Decided to catch up with Ct on my way home and ended up
reaching home at almost 2 am.

OKAY DARLING FREAKS.
I AM FREAKING TIRED NOW.
I NEED TO GO TO THE PASAR TOMORROW MORNING.
GOODNIGHT!

Hey if you have read my previous
post and thought how dumb can this
girl be, please...Ignore what I said cos
today, it is IN!!! :))

I managed to figure out how to stuff
those tiny little cotton looking bullets
in and I am so freaking happy! Now,
no more wasting of tampons.

Yay!

waste my money!

So this is the story...
I went to Guardian to do a little
toiletry shopping...and there were
a few important things on my mind
that I need to urgently get and one
of those things was actually tampons.
Cos yeah I have ran out of those stuff.

So then I was browsing the 'Feminine
Hygiene' section and saw several brands
of tampons, all of those I haven't tried,
except for Playtex Gentle Glide tampons.
Oh and by the way it really glides:))
And looking at the array of tampons
in different packaging and colours
and sizes, I got all spoilt for choice.

And finally, I decided to just go for the
sleekest looking packaging which is by
Kotex (which is pretty new-as compared
to the others- in the market)...And so
happily, I bought it.

Back home, while I was trying it out,
MY GOD!, I couldn't get it in and you
know why? It didn't come with the
plastic applicator thingy...And I was
like........HOW THE HELL ARE YOU
SUPPOSED TO FREAKING INSERT
A FREAKING DRY HARDENED
COTTON TAMPON IN THERE MAN?!
IT DOESN'T EVEN FREAKING GLIDE!!!
And now I have 15 unused and will never
be used tampons with me. Such a waste!

I should have sticked to my usual.
Oh well.

yesterday.

Bloody hell! I'm still not working
on my freaking resume! Gosh!

Anyways, the big news of the
previous day is...
NUS had accepted me. But...
there is a HUGE BUT to this
supposedly awesome news
and that is THEY FREAKIN'
OFFERED ME CHEMISTRY!
I can't do chemistry for nuts man!
You guys know that right?
Right Mary? All those inorganic
and analytical chemistry, INAC,
Joseph Kueh's module...I was
struggling with those modules!
And doing Chemistry at a much
more advanced level will just
mean suicide for me man!
I'm in between a rock and a
hard place (new phrase from X)
How.......................................? :'(

Had a date with darling Tabla
in the evening. Oh I miss her
so much! Watched Date Night
which was fucking hilarious.
It made us laugh so hard our
intestines could explode man!
You people should go watch it.
:))

OKBYEFREAKS!

why?

this is ridiculous!
why am I crying like a baby?
and why is it that I feel such
a heartache?

14th April 2010, Wednesday.

Met J for lunch today at NUS.
Went to Munchie Monkeys Cafe
somewhere within Yusof Ishak Hall.

I think J is a scientist. HAHAHA.
Academically brilliant person J is.
Do I feel inferior? No, not really cos
I know where this is going ;))

Anyways, I brought my appetite
along just like J told me to the night
before.

Walked back to J's office.
Hanged around for a while...
I wasn't really sure why we were there
in the first place...J then drove us to
Starbucks at fusionopolis...J then decided
to bring me the sky garden on the 23rd floor.
Security was tight man...J is a member
of the gym there there so yeah...I entered as
a guest visitor...The view was quite good from
up there...Was pretty windy too. Nice.

2 hours.
2 hours was all it took...

12 April 2010, Monday.

The day of the interview at SMU.
Interview at 4pm.

Left home at about 10am.
The damn computer at the photo
shop wasn't working so I had to travel
all the way to Bouna Vista to get my
NUS Financial Aid documents printed.
Then took the train again to Clementi
to get to school (Ngee Ann Poly) to get
my testimonial and PSRP Award Cert
from Dr Susan...After which, I ran down
to the Student Service Center to get my
first 5 sem's results printed out cos SMU
needed it for verification. And I had to
pay 3 bucks for each semester's result
transcript.Kannabeh. So then I took the
bus down to NUS Admin Office to drop
off my Financial Aid documents...
By the time I reached the Bouna Vista MRT
to make my way down to Dhoby Ghuat,
it was already 2.10pm...

Text-ed X.
Train-ed down to City Hall to have lunch
with X. Was spontaneous:)) I like.

Cabbed to SMU from City Hall.
It was ridiculously near but oh well
didn't want to be late and sweating all
over...So yeah.

Reached SMU early...
Registered myself...
Waited for my turn...
...
......
.........
............
...............
And it was my turn!

It was a pretty tough interview.
Much tougher than the one I had
with hot sociologist from NTU...
I tell you...till this day, I am still
haunted by the interview I had
at SMU. Kept thinking of stuff that
I should have said and stuff I wished
I did not say...I was practically grilled
with an open flame by the two woman
professors I assume. The interview felt
pretty long and I feel that it actually was
pretty long...Part of me would like to
make myself feel better by saying that
they were interested to hear out my views
but the other part of me is saying that
they didn't wanna let me go cos they
haven't gotten what they wanted out of me.

Oh my God! I'm going crazy just thinking
about it!

And now I'm left anxiously waiting for
a response-a call, an sms, an e-mail,
a letter, whatever-. I need a response.

Respond to me pleeeease SMU.................

OK back to the recollection of my day.
So after the interview, I train-ed back to
Bouna Vista where Duane picked me up
and drove to TLL where we met archaria,
DQ and the 2 new interns...Waited a bit for
them to complete their experiments before
heading to Furama Hotel for dinner...
I had the most sashimi in my entire life
that night at the buffet man! Awesomeness.
We ate and talked and talked and talked and
laughed and laughed and laughed...
It was a nice cozy reunion:))

Duane drove me to the nearest MRT.
Train-ed down to Simei.
Flagged a cab.

Was completely drained by the time I got home.
The bed was the only thing on my mind:))

Oh oh...Met Suz for lunch on Sunday.
Got pressies from her.
Yay!

10th April 2010

Met Mary.
Got our nails done at Juup Nails
at 123 Devonshire Road. I must
say...It a pretty nice place to relax
and get nails done...Complimentary
free flow of beverages, Hershey Kisses
and biscuits...Definitely a plus point:))

Upgraded my complimentary express
manicure to a Juup Spa Mani and Pedi.
Includes a soak, scrub and a mask on
top of the classic Mani and Pedi. I love
the mineral mask! It actually gets super
cold as time goes by...

Absolutely heavenly.

9th April 2010

Got a call from SMU while driving
to Jurong. Thank God somebody
was there to pick it up.

Interview for SMU's School of Econs
and Social Science, Monday, 12/04,
4 pm.

Later that night Papa handed me
a letter form NTU. Guess what?
NTU accepted moi :))

But actually, I'm more keen to hear
from SMU...Oh well, we'll see.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

7th April 2010

Mary and I had the NTU-NIE interview
at the MOE building at Bouna Vista on
the very same day! How fun is that?:))

So we met earlier to grab lunch before
heading for the interview... So the plan
was to head down to Cathay to get free
B&J ice cream after dropping off the
supporting documents at SMU (it was
the last day for the submission btw).

After the interview, Mary's shoes were
giving her major problems for her footies.
So she actually bought a pair of BLUE
slippers which costs her 4 bucks!
MARY, I still think it was so off.
But yeah, I understand.

Anyways...We train-ed down to Dhoby Ghaut
then make our way to SMU's Office Of Undergrad
Admissions which was the furthest away from
the Plaza Singapura which was by the way quite
a walkable distance...But since we both are lazy-ass
people, we decided to cab there instead...My God!
I took us so damn long to get a freaking cab which
by the way was shared with another man...

After dropping off our supporting docs we wanted
to head back to Cathay and yes we were too lazy to
walk back there so we took a cab which costs us
almost 10 bucks or even slightly more than that
but the kindhearted taxi man asked for only 7 bucks
i think...Nice old malay pakcik:)

So we thought we could get free B&J ice cream
after a pretty long and tiring day. But guess what?
The freaking free B&J ice cream redemption was
fully redeemed for that freaking day! My goodness!
But what the heck...We still had B&Js :))

What a day man!

Cancelled my clubbing plan cos I was too tired.
Make it up to it by dropping by Sally's to get
my nails done:)) Sally is moving out by the end
of this month to BEDOK! :(( But she said...if me
and a couple of my friends would like to get our nails
done, we can give her a call and she'll drive down
to our place!!! I like her...My favourite manicurist
to date.

Ok.That's all.

6th April 2010

Again we had to beg and plead Z to
come along with us to Boat Quay's
Mind Cafe...Trust me...It took all the
3 of us to persuade him to finally agree.

We thought it would be a great idea for
the 4 of us to finally get together and
hang out plus I was given permission
from mama to drive out since my b'day
was just one day ago...

So yeap...even picked Z up from school
before heading to Boat Quay. The games
and all were fun BUT I just can't help but
be so fucking annoyed by Z. Why the fuck
must he make the whole fucking thing
between us so fucking awkward....

Are you fucking mute?!
I'm right in front of you and all you did
was keep you fucking mouth shut?!
What the fuck are you trying to do?!
You know what I'm just so fucking sick
of you I don't even mind not ever seeing
you ever in my entire fucking lifetime!
And what? You think msg-ing me as if
everything is okay and nothing happened
is okay?! What the fuck man?!
When I'm right smack in front of your eyes
you don't say a fucking word...and days later
when I'm not right smack in front of your
eyes then you wanna start texting me.
What the fuck is wrong with you man!?

You know what Z...I don't even care.
Screw you!
Thank you so much for spoiling my day.

That's it.
I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU ZAKI.
You are nothing but a waste of my fucking time!

The Fifth Day of April 2010

hey everybody...

So on my birthday, the plan was to...
wait a minute...there weren't any plans
made besides meeting up with darling F
and maybe hang out somewhere and
chill and stuff then head back to her place
to get my birthday cake, specially baked
with TLC by none other than F herself:)

Yeap...so I decided to hang out around Arab
Street as I wanted to get my nails done at
this place WAWA told me about plus there
are lots cool places to walk around and hang
out too. So we went there.

The plan started to twist a little when I got
a call from M. We talked for a while and he
did the obligatory birthday wish and all that
stuff and asked me to pass the phone to F.
But at that moment, I didn't really suspect
anything cos I just thought he was just
being him...

To cut the story short...
F and M did a spontaneous surprise for moi:)
And the next thing I knew I saw M sitting
outside Nabins waiting for us to arrive.
How sweet lah...So we went upstairs where
where we were served with a huge platter of
neatly arranged delicious junk and each a Halib
Falastin, which by the way, is the most awesomest
beverage ever created! Oh Oh, not forgetting
the CherryMint Shisha which was already waiting
for us at our table:))

After eating ad talking and shisha-ing M went
down for a while and I thought he was settling
the bill or something but to my surprise, he actually
came up with a birthday cake with two candles
on top...I swear to you my jaw dropped down and
hit the freaking floor...
Aww ain't he such a sweetheart?

The thing that SHOCKED me the most was the
fact that F agreed to allow M to join us...I mean
she's not normally like that so I was pleasantly
surprised:)) Thanks babe.

So M drove both of us back to F's house to collect
my 2nd birthday cake of the day.

On my way back home...I walked back home btw...
Carrying a huge red bag 2 whole cakes in it.So anyways,
I bumped into Ct and we planned to meet up for
dinner a little later cos I couldn't stuff anymore
food down my throat after lunch at Nabins.

Then dinner came...
I drove us to Eastpoint for dinner at the all-so-nostalgic
18 Chefs....BUT, I didn't like the place cos it was sooo
freaking noisy! My goodness! So then we decided to
just walk around to find a suitable decent place for
dinner and we ended up at Eatzi Place I think...
To summarize our dinner, I would say that it is
good to know somebody who works at restaurant
that you happen to dine in PLUS also good to have
friends celebrating their birthdays on that day too
because you'll end up getting lots of 'complimentary'
stuff. It was nice when they served my birthday cake
with a candle on top complete with 'Happy Birthday'
moo-sic played out loud in the restaurant:))

So yeah...My 20th had been pretty spontaneous.
I loike:)

Muacks freaks!

START.

I refuse to step on the weighing scale
cos I know, and I can feel it in my tummy,
that I have piled on a significant amount
of kilograms over the past few months.
And it really bothers me like to the core.
Number one would be the 'feel-disgusting
no-matter-what-you-wear issue', made
worse by the fact that you know there are
some excess fat hanging somewhere in your
arms lah, giggling happily around your belly
lah and all the other unsightly places you and
I both know where lah...And so secondly, not
so much how I feel, it's more about how clothes
don't actually fit nicely anymore...And oh yah,
PICTURES!!!You can so see the difference. Eeew!
And the list goes on and on and on and on.

I've done this before and I'm gonna do it again.
Gosh!It never seem to freaking end man!
Like a freaking yo-yo.
Up.Down.Up.Down.

So, I, Nurraini Bte Salim,
will start doing something about it starting tomorrow:)

Just like any other countdowns............................................................

DO NOT ANALYZE!

I swear I heard you say "I love you"
but I pretended not to listen...

sore and itchy

One of the many things that amazes me
is how siblings can end up having a huge
fight over something really small or even
over nothing at all...Amazing.

And as a result of what I just mentioned,
my sister is spending the night outside.
Yeap...I chased her out of the room.

I already feel bad.

Lip Smacking Strawberry Cheesecake

I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!

Yes. Me being me.
I took the opportunity to indulge in a free cone of ice cream:)
Think I'm gonna do that again soon...this time bringing my result slip along.
If only they are generous enough to give a scoop for every A,
I'd get a towering 7 scoops in my freaking cone!
Coolness.
(Read the text in the last picture if you're lost)

Let's talk about 'WHIP IT'.
I actually feel like learning to skate man!
The movie made it look so cool. And one day, when I get really good,
I'm gonna try out for roller derby just like Babe Ruthless.
And maybe get myself a bad ass roller girl name,
say, Raini Radiation or Deadly Raini or Vexatious R.
Vexatious R...
Ohh I like...The sound of it makes me wanna uuh~
Oh boy I can go on and on...
Anyways, go watch it.
The only ones who actually dared to Laugh Out Loud
were you and me, Tabla. :))

Moving on...
Remember I told you guys about the time when I
accidentally bit on a fork positioned nicely in between my
two lower front teeth (w/o realizing it), resulting in
the slight displacement of one of them?
I was depressed for a while. But just for a while.
Anyways...
I was having a nap earlier on today.
And I had this urgh dream...
I dreamt that something happened and that
slightly displaced tooth of mine got loose and fell.
I remembered my mouth all bloddy.
OK I AM GONNA STOP NOW.

I'm shortlisted to go for another interview.
7th Apr.
2pm.
NTU again...
No news from NUS:(

Web camming mischief
with Mr where-Sangria-came-from :)
I love Sangria.

OK Bye Freaks!
Back to my 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'.
