Handy Road
First and foremost, this absolutely artistic shot was taken by moi!

I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow.
Seriously.
I'm already missing my SP friends.
It's gonna be dead in the lab tomorrow.
Let's face it yah...
It's true. The funny thing is that they are
not afraid to be 100% themselves even though
it may come across as being 'thick-skinned'.
But you see...That's the whole point!
They weren't afraid to be themselves,
that's why the whole atmosphere seems lifted
whenever they are around.
Pizza da Donato farewell dinner was FANTASTIC!
Yes! As planned, we all had SQUID INK PASTA!!!
Gross but kinda good actually!
The SP interns, ROY, JIMMIE and RACHEL,
TLL Staff, JAQ and of course Charlene and I,
made our way to Pizza De Donato @ Ghim Moh
after work on Friday. Food was awesome!
The lip smacking pizzas, the disgusting-looking
yet delicious squid ink pasta, the fresh seafood in the
$50 seafood pasta plus lots and lots and lots of
extremely addictive desserts!
We all walked out with an extremely happy belly!
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
OK.Let's talk about discipline now.
I know I shouldn't let it go out of control but
the truth is that it is out of control!
Dammit man!
One moment I can be so freaking motivated and
god-damned fucking disciplined,
the next fucking moment,
POOF!
It's all gone.
*Deep freaking breath*
It's okay.
Let's start over starting tomorrow.

Can't wait for my next pay!!!
What shall I do with my next pay?
But before I can get my itchy hands on the
cold hard cash, I have to submit a freaking report
by end of next week.

So. As you can see, Tabla HOR and I got our portraits done the caricature way on Saturday!
There was a Kindness event going on outside Plaza Sing,
and there was this huge, gigantic wall with lots of portraits of
people spreading a word or two about kindness done
by a talented pakcik who was busy drawing every body's faces.
So we decided to get ours done too!
BUT...
WE LOOK LIKE FREAKING 40 YEAR OLD AUNTIES LAH SIA!
In the drawing I mean.
The exaggeration is exaggerated don't you think?!
AAHAHAHAH!

It's a SHAME!
Been having me, myself and I time quite a bit
whether I like it or not.But it's been pretty ok.
Spent all my attachment allowance over the weekends.
But it was definitely worth every single penny!
I'm only left with the amount of money that I'm
gonna save up for SECRET:)) All I have to do
now is to refrain myself from pressing the buttons
on the ATM MACHINE.Someone please help me!
So anyway, I'm really excited to start on my SECRET.
But let's put it this way...Walk one step, calculate one
step okay?I'm not so sure if I've used it correctly lah
but bottom line is I'll do things one thing at a time.
This week is the SP Interns' last week in TLL.
So this means that this is gonna be Rachael's,
Roy's and Jimmie's last week...It's sad.
On the very first day, seven weeks ago, I never
thought that I'd be making friends cos I had this
mentality that I don't really intend to make friends
cos I think that I've lost the whole "I'm really
friendly.Come talk to me.*sweet smile*" vibe
plus I was also kinda sick and tired of making new
friends...BUT little did I know that I was gonna really
enjoy getting hooked to these few people!Hmm...
It's gonna get really quiet when they leave...
No more bitching...No more mocking ppl's
accents...No more JIA JIA tea breaks...No more
long bitchy lunches...No more laughter along the
dead corridor of TLL labs...This is sad.
Sakae sushi dinner isn't gonna be the last outing
right guys?Next stop, Squid Ink Pasta!
How's driving Raini?
Had driving yesterday...Did a few rounds of the test
route.And OHMYGOSH! my TP is in about a month!
Will have another driving session tomorrow as well.
Gotta work on my U-turning. I kinda sux.:P
So...Only time will tell baby!
Y'knw...I'm an optimist.
But even an optimist gets sick and tired sometimes.

I don't exactly know your reason for doing so.
But don't you at least feel guilty?
Not even a teeny weeny bit?
It's OK...It doesn't matter now does it?
Clearly friends with benefits matters more to you.

BAM!IN MY FACE!
So yesterday was a mix of stress and sweet surprises at work.
There I was cramping my way to work and the whole time at
work cos it was the first day of my period and I tell you, I wasn't
in my bestest of mood that day.Plus on top of that, I had to dissect
a few samples of dissected larva brains and mount it on the slides
for confocal microscopy.It took me like almost a freaking hour just to
complete one set of brains and I had three sets and my mentor was
kinda pressing me to complete it ASAP cos we are already late for
our microscope session.OK,So then I finally managed to finish it
and so we went down to the confocal room to check out the sample lah,
But the thing is I/we(Charlene and I) aren't really experts at handling that
freaking machine so it was another rough few hours for me...At that moment,
I felt like walking out the room and cry man! Seriously! See...It's
amazing how hormone fluctuation is able to severely affect how you feel!
Plus you guys know I'm not usually like that...Right
Charlene? That was the first time I ever felt so negative and pessimistic.
Ok that aside...
So after lunch, I felt a little better cos I was able to breathe like finally.
And Charlene and I laughed like mad along the silent and boring corridor
of Level 4 labs...HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAH!
Funny right?!Seriously!
So I went back to work feeling a little better and Roy came into the
fly room where I was picking my virgins asking for my USB cable...
So I went to my office to get it for him...And when I was searching
for it in my bag...JENG!JENG!JENG!
Surprise #1:
I saw a blue envelope with my name on it and "Happy Birthday!
May All Your Wishes Come True.-Charlene" And guess what was in the
envelope?! Freaking PINC vouchers lahhhhh!Aww...That's so sweet right?
Thanks Charlene.I NEVER EXPECTED THAT MAN!
Surprise #2:
Back to the fly room, I was collecting my virgins as usual.Then Roy and Jimmy
came in with a delivery box and turned to me and said...Raini!What did you
order? Then I was like...Harrrr?I did not order anything what.But actually I kinda
knew that it was my birthday pressie from Roy and Jimmy but I NEVER EXPECTED
IT AS WELL!OK...Cut the story short. And so I opened it but before I could even do
that, they told me that I never know what's inside the box so they told me to wear gloves.
AND I DID! When I opened the box, the first thing I saw was a Birthday A4 poster with
a photo of me "advertising" a huge bottle of dead flies!Lol! And hidden deeper in the box
was my pressie!!!Guess what's inside? JELLY OF COURSE!All the different kinds of
jelly candies! I find that really funny.Aww...those boys are so sweet lar. But sadly, they
are leaving in less than 2 weeks.And the labs will be boring again.Oh! And the whole time,
my mentor was there party-ing with us!But still I CANT BELIEVE I ACTUALLY LISTENED
TO THEM AND WORE GLOVES!!!
So to sum it up,
my day wasn't so bad after all!
Driving was fun too!I did the last thing left in the circuit,
The Slope!Yay!Vertical parking was kinda easy.I mean, WITH THE POLES!
YAY!OK BYE!GOTTA WASH UP AND GO TO WORK!
